Ridgeview Campground

Ridgeview campground is part of the Lake Cascade State Park. The campground is located in Cascade Idaho. It’s just a few minutes from downtown Cascade.

The campground also has a day-use area. This area includes vault toilets whereas the over night campsites have flush toilets. The bathrooms also have showers and is located in the middle of the campground.

Campsites

Each campsite has a picnic table, fire pit, and water. The campsites are on the smaller side. However, this is typical of most campsites that are for RV’s. Tents can be set up but there is only a small area to put them. The cost is between $35 to $66 a night. A few sites are for 16 people so those cost more. The majority of sites are for a maximum of 8 people.

The highlight of the campground is the proximity of the lake. The campground has a few pathways to the beach.

Big Bone Lick State Historic Site

Located in Kentucky. The campground is  near the Big Bone Lick museum there you can see displays of fossilized bones and artifacts as well as trails where you can see the original swampland.

The campground offers several amenities. There is mini golf located at the entrance of the campground, a swimming pool, laundry facilities, ice, vending machines, playground, showers and flush toilets. There is a small store with camping supplies located at the entrance where you check in.

Wasatch Mountain State Park

Pine Creek Campground is in the Wasatch Mountain State Park located in Midway Utah. It has three different loops, 2 group campsites, and two cabins. Some campsites are standard-full hookups and some are standard-partial hookups. The campground comes with showers, flush toilets, and sinks. Granite Flat Campground

Granite Flat Campground is 14 miles from American Fork Utah. The campground is big and the campsites are spread out, allowing for a more private camping experience. There are three beautiful group campsites and several single and double campsites. The campground comes with vault toilets, water spigots, and all campsites are nonelectric. Petersen Park Recreation Camp

Tremonton, Utah

Petersen Park is located in Tremonton, Utah. Bear River runs next to the camp and can be used for fishing or canoeing. This is a privately owned camp used for Young Women’s Camp, Scout Camp, and Family Reunions. You have to make a reservation to camp here. There are four areas that can be reserved depending on the size of your group. They are called, The Bowery, Beavers Cove, Little Nauvoo, and Fisherman’s Nook. Balsam Campground

Balsam Campground is located 13 miles from Springville Utah. Hobble Creek runs through the campground. Balsam has water spigots throughout the campground and four bathrooms that have vault toilets. No dumpsters are at the campground. When I drove through the campground It looked like all the sites were full luckily I got out of my car and realized there were a bunch of sites across the bridge that were empty.

Cherry Campground

Cherry campground is about 6 miles from Springville Utah. Hobble Creek runs alongside the campground. The campground is smaller than some I have been to but there are plenty of restrooms. There are four restrooms with vault toilets. Cherry campground has lots of trees so there is plenty of shade. There are water spigots but the water in the campground is closed so you will need to bring your own water. Campsites cost $20 a night and the Double campsites are $40.
